How it all began
Back in 2000, I was going through a difficult personal crisis in my life. Tired and confused - nothing could take away the emotional pain and trauma that I was going through. I was a complete wreck - and all I wanted was to find some peace and happiness.
Then a miracle happened. While away on a short break in Southern Thailand, I had my first taste of yoga. During one of the yoga classes that were conducted along a scenic beach by the mass Andaman Sea, I discovered oneness with myself and with nature. While practising yoga - I felt an immense sense of peace, calmness and joy in my heart. I was fully aware of my entire being, of the lovely breeze that was brushing against my skin, the smell of the sea, the birds flying above me, and the beauty of my surroundings. Yet at the same time, my body seemed to be non-existent.
And at that moment in time - nothing mattered. I thought to myself - if yoga could make me feel this way - I would definitely like to find out more!
Filled with excitement and a newfound sense of direction - I took up yoga classes at a fitness centre in Singapore where I was a member. It was not long after when I found my yoga guru - the beautiful and talented Aisah - who introduced me to KRYOGA. Ever since then, I have been hooked on KRYOGA.

Being A Yoga Teacher
Teaching yoga has been a wonderful journey of self-discovery and learning. While sharing my passion and love of yoga to my students, I also learn new skills and pick up new experiences on how to become a better teacher.
Master Kamal is a great source of inspiration to me and has certainly helped me to develop confidence and faith in myself, while imparting his in-depth knowledge and skills to be an excellent teacher. His patience, loving guidance and unconditional love has helped me to leap forward to new boundaries and each step is always filled with profound joy.
I am thankful to have finally found my purpose and true calling in life, to have a fit and healthy body to do what I am doing and to be able to share my love for KRYOGA to others.
Most of all, I am eternally grateful to my teacher Aisah for opening her heart to me to show me the ropes and to Master Kamal for his never-ending love and support. I am also thankful to my students who have continued to be with me right from the start and to those who have joined me since. Without them, I will not be who I am today.
Not long after I started to teach KRYOGA - I made a promise to myself - that every class that I teach is always the best class - I give nothing less than my best, no matter the class size.
So come and yoga with me, and find out why KRYOGA is so special, and share the joys and benefits with me!!
May you always be in good health and be in love with life!
With love, joy, peace and gratitude.

Learning how to teach
Throughout the years of practising yoga, I felt that yoga has helped me enormously in overcoming my fears and self-doubts, to learn to accept myself for who I am, to love and to forgive myself for better or worse and to fill me with immense peace and joy. At the same time, I developed a stronger and toned physique, felt more energised and did not fall sick as often as before.
A few years later, I requested Aisah to teach me how to become a yoga teacher. I was overwhelmed by a deep desire to share my love and passion for yoga to others.
Under Aisah’s loving guidance, patience and compassion and after going through a formal KRYOGA teacher’s training program, I reached my breakthrough when I taught my first class to a group of friends in 2004. It has certainly been a journey!!
When Aisah moved to Bangkok to teach KRYOGA and to assist Master Kamal with his yoga centres there, Master Kamal (Founder and Creator of KRYOGA - Kamal’s Rhythmic Yoga) became my yoga guru. Each year, I travel without fail to spend a period of time with my guru to either Hong Kong or Bangkok where Master Kamal is based to continue with my learning and self-improvement.

"It has been my privilege to find Yvette, a highly passionate and motivated individual to carry on my style teaching KRYOGA. She has been my student from the year 2001, attending Kryoga classes and have been for long period of time closely associated, teaching KRYOGA Courses for students in Singapore. Her enthusiasm, dedication and commitment for reaching out and spreading Yoga teachings have been exemplary. I am happy and proud to have her as a true advocate of Kryoga."
